John brown was born on May 9, 1800 in Connecticut. After he was born his family moved to Ohio where he spent most of his life. John was one of 16 Children he was the 4th. After John grew up he himself had 20 kids. John Married his first wife Dianthe Brown and had a total of 7 children. After Dianthe died he married a 16 year old named Anne. Anne and John had 13 children together. Although, it may seem like they had a lot of kids 7 of the 13 Children from Anne died during childhood. While taking care of all these kids with his wife(s) he also worked many different jobs. Even though he worked so many jobs he went bankrupt in 1842. Something a ton of people can relate to in today’s world. Aside from his work life he was extremely religious. His father taught him about Christianity and he taught his kids. John memorized the entire Bible! John believed that the bible had rules and they had to be followed! (The 10 commandments) He not only believed that god had rules and they needed t be followed but John believed that god wanted him to end slavery by violence! Since John believed that Violence was the only way to end slavery he was involved in the Pottawatomie Massacre and Harper's Ferry. Two major events in history! Imagine, if John didn't believe god told him to end slavery through violence none of these events would of ever occurred. Unfortunately, all these violent acts have a price to pay. He had committed treason and was hung when he was 59. He didn't live a very long life. Although, it was a exciting one!
